I was born in Castellón de la Plana, Spain, in 1935, but I had to move to Mexico when I was only 4 years old, fleeing the fascist regime during the Spanish Civil War. I have lived in Mexico City most of my life, although I've never lost my Spanish and Mediterranean roots.
I started drawing and painting since I was a little kid, and I've never stopped. I also taught Plastic Arts for many years in my childhood school, Colegio Madrid, in Mexico City.
Most of my work is oil painting, although I also have some acrylics and watercolors. After many years selling my work at the Bazar del Sábado in Mexico City, I'm lucky to have paintings all over the world, in particular collections in New York, Phoenix, San Diego, Chicago, San Francisco, Montreal, Caracas, San Antonio, Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Pontevedra, Iran, Germany, Japan, and even Iceland, among many others.
If I had to define my work, I'd say it's mostly impressionist, but I don't specially like labels. I've always been a free spirit, and I hope my work reflects precisely that.
